Accessibility | Unity/Differentiation
Current Garofalo Pasta packaging does not meet the needs of English Language Learners (ELL).
This redesign concept aims to adapt Garofalo's current packaging across 3 pasta lines (classic, organic, and gluten-free) and increase the accessibility for an audience of English Language Learners. Changes were made to the physical and visual design of the packaging to better suit the needs of the target audience.

Graphic communication, readable typography, and simplified language. Use of box rather than bag packaging to increase readability. Clear window so users can recognize pasta shape. Associative colours for pasta lines (Green/Organic, Red/Classic, Blue/Gluten-Free).

Added visual and written cooking instructions. Reduced information on back so layout and hierarchy are clearer – information was moved to sides of box.
